Canoe rental

Did you know that it is possible to rent a canoe or kayak at the reception? Step onto the water from the campsite and paddle towards Meppel. A relaxing way to discover the surroundings. Discover the possibilities and prices.

Bicycle routes

From the campground, your bicycle tour literally begins at the back door. Our back entrance to the bike path takes you directly into the Drenthe cycling network: quiet, green and surprisingly versatile.

Engelgaarde Swimming Area

Swimming Area Engelgaarde or also known as Blijdenstein is a favorite place to swim, fish or even dive. From the back of the campground you can walk and bike right to it.

Havelte Wine Estate

Be taken on a tour and tasting at Wijngoed Havelte, beautifully situated in the Drenthe countryside. It's a great opportunity to discover more about Dutch wines.

Play and ice cream farm De Drentse Koe

De Drentse Koe is a fun outing for the whole family, close to our campground. Children can enjoy playing here, petting animals, riding around on tractors and having fun in indoor and outdoor playgrounds.

Bad Hesselingen Swimming Pool

Subtropical swimming pool Bad Hesselingen is the place for water fun, sports and relaxation. The spacious competition pool is perfect for swimmers who like to swim laps or train, while the little ones have a great time in the fun shallow paddling pool.

Walk through history

From the campsite you walk straight into nature. Let the various nature reserves such as the Reestdal and the Holtingerveld, with quiet paths, open fields and ancient dolmens surprise you along the way.

Havixhorst Estate

A beautiful historic estate near Ruinerwold. Stroll through the gardens, admire the havezate and enjoy the peace, nature and culture in this special place.
